Hi there. Usually I would contact the IT department for this problem, but they're all away right now. So it's you guys who should assist me. This week I moved departments in my company and received a new laptop, new username, and new email. I signed in using my new username on the company network and changed the password to my personal one. Everything seems fine so far. But each time I log out, the laptop locks or I have to switch back to Windows, showing the wrong password. My old password also fails. However, once I disconnect from the company Wi-Fi, I can log in using my chosen password. I haven't tested it on a different network yet. I'm willing to try this workaround, but the next step is setting up Outlook. My company mail address was already linked to Office 365, so I opened Outlook, tried to enter the password for my account, and again it's incorrect. This time I can't actually turn off the Wi-Fi because the setup won't work without a connection. I also attempted it through the Outlook web version, but the issue persists. How can we fix this? I'm eager until Fritz returns from vacation. Cheers

since each organization has its own unique approach to IT setup, the most effective option is to consult your IT professional or ask your teammates about their experiences with similar problems and solutions.

Consider updating your laptop password while connected to Wi-Fi if possible. It seems there’s a mismatch between the password saved on the device and what the company records. When you switch networks, it attempts to connect using the stored credentials but fails when disconnected. In such cases, contacting IT for a reset is necessary so you can modify your password securely. Source: Former IT professional

It seems the laptop updated the password just for itself, while the domain controller retains the previous one. You’ll likely need Fritz to resolve this issue.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn’t help since I need my previous login details and they aren’t showing up correctly. I’m certain I remember the old password and I’m trying it each time, but once the new one fails, it seems like a sync problem. Shouldn’t I be able to access Outlook online? Both accounts are rejecting the passwords. Appreciate the advice even if it didn’t resolve the issue.

It seems your account is restricted. Is your phone set up with the correct email address? It might not be functioning properly. Have your IT representative verify the lockout status.
