You can access the mini map by navigating to the app settings or options menu and selecting the map feature there. If not visible on your phone, try restarting the app or checking for any updates.
Hardcore doesn't provide a mini map, not even through the app. You can access the full map using Battle Screen, which shows all spotted players. You can also adjust the zoom level. Since you don't use a mobile device, your second monitor is set up for this purpose.
