BF 3 was available, then it went on sale for about a dollar. I also thought Dragon Age Origins was present, and I managed to get it. It wasn’t easy—I was too lazy at the time.

EA doesn't hand out free games... These guys are terrible—giving away titles sometimes, then charging for them later. Still, I managed to get BF3 for free. After that, Titanfall and BF4 came for just €10 each.

BF3 has appeared on sale or for free several times before. The last time it was available was six months after BF4 launched. Since HL just dropped, there might have been a release around fall. However, it could also depend on player numbers. If fewer people are playing, discounts might be more common. EA/DICE often releases premium and booster packs to boost revenue. It's interesting how they keep trying to revive Titanfall with special promotions during gameplay periods. It seems like this pattern continues regularly.

EA doesn't provide free games; they're just EA. EA offers a game I paid for that's three years old, but since I already bought it, it feels like they're not doing enough. I don’t see much hope for you. Regarding BF4 being OTH, it might be around again in about two years.

They seldom release AAA titles, yet they do so discreetly. BF3 was available for a short period last summer, though I regret not having caught it.
