I noticed different loading speeds across players in this game. My sessions open fast—about a minute or less—while missions and heists drag on. Despite my PC running smoothly, I upgraded to an SSD just for GTA5 and kept it there. The tests confirm the drive works well. Recently I joined a heist with others; waiting nearly five minutes before forming a team was frustrating. Everyone got frustrated when the game didn’t freeze. My system runs Windows 8.1, has a decent CPU and GPU, but the SSD usage in Task Manager stays minimal (0-2%).

GTA experiences slow online loading, even though it runs on an SSD. On the campaign mode it rarely shows a delay screen, but in online play it often displays them continuously.

During the campaign, I notice a single loading screen—just after beginning the game, taking roughly 1 to 2 minutes.
