I downloaded a printer driver for Linux with the .run file extension. It took over ten minutes to load from the downloads folder on an SSD, after which it stopped working. I followed the instructions on the printing website and was told to run a terminal command to install the driver. Someone can clarify what the loading process means and why it was so slow.
