Hey, today morning I was playing FFXIV and suddenly the screen went dark while the fans on my AIO cooler spiked up. I had to power down the system and cut off the PSU. Once that was done, the game failed to load, showing a black screen with loud fans. I thought it was overheating, so I cleaned the front and top fan covers, as well as the radiator. To be honest, I usually don’t maintain that much airflow, so maybe it was just a ventilation problem. I tried running Valley Benchmark and Black Ops Cold War to check if the issue was specific to the game, but they also had the same problems. One thing stood out: when I opened Valley Benchmark, the window would minimize and then go black with fans once I accessed it. Normal browsing works, and my idle temps are between 31 and 34°C right now. Another problem I encountered during a reboot was a black screen followed by a blue Windows error. I’m not sure if it’s a CPU or GPU fault; the AIO pump still feels normal, so I don’t think it’s a hardware failure. I’ve updated the graphics driver and OS. My PC was built in 2018, with only GPU and CPU cooler upgrades—otherwise it’s been stable since then. Today’s issue is the only one that really affected loading. Still, I’m not sure what’s going on. Here’s what I have: Intel 8700k processor, Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC, 8GB, Aorus Z370, Cooler Master ML240L RGB V2, 240 radiator, Dual SickleFlow 120mm, G.Skill TridentZ 16GB, Samsung 960 Pro M.2 512GB drive, Samsung 860 EVO 1TB, Seasonic FOCUS Plus 750 Gold, 750W, 80+ Gold ATX12V & EPS12V, compact fan, 140mm size.

Confirm the fans start up properly. If you have another GPU, test it as well to check for consistency.

Thanks for the update! It seems the GPU issue might have been a memory problem, indicated by the -1MB reading. I tried using my older 1060, and everything worked fine with FFXIV.

Appreciate the assistance. It might be useful to test the newer card in a different system with a new OS and updated drivers before assuming it's damaged. You could also attempt to flash the BIOS to check for improvements. Since I haven't handled GPU troubleshooting beyond that, others here can guide you through those steps if needed.
