Livekerne event 117+ nvlddmkm id 13/14+153 problems
for more than a week I attempted to fix my computer and tried numerous solutions. Since I received a used Nvidia MSI GTX 1650 D6 Ventus XS OCV1, I’m aware it could be a significant oversight. Operating on a very tight budget, I relied on second-hand or refurbished parts. It’s my first graphics card in years, so I’ll focus on the essentials if you need help identifying the problem.
My setup includes:
- Desktop computer
- Brand: Acer
- Model: Aspire TC-895-EB11
- Original components (before changes)
- BIOS version: R01-A3
- Operating system: Windows 10 32/64 bit
- CPU: Intel I5-10400 (2.9GHz base, 4.0GHz boost, 6 cores, 12 threads)
- RAM: Kingston 8GB+4GB DDR4 2667 MHz (12GB)
- Storage: Toshiba 931 GB HDD (3.5 inch)
- GPU: Intel UHD 630 integrated graphics
- Power supply: 500W OEM (original cables, extra connectors available but mismatched)
- After modifications: BIOS R01-A3, Windows 11 32/64 bit
I encountered these specs after purchasing new parts. The issues I’m facing now are:
- Performance drops in games like Roblox or BeamNG Drive
- Screen freezes lasting less than a second, turning black briefly before restarting
- Error codes appearing in the reliability panel (LiveKernelEvent ID 117)
- Frequent crashes and instability in NVLDMK.MSYS and Event Viewer
- NVHDMK.SYS ID13/14 and ID153 recurring within seconds
Despite trying older drivers, removing updates, reseating the GPU, adjusting clock speeds, using DDU tools, and even testing with lower voltages (0.975–0.981V), the problem persists. I’m limited by my budget and can’t send the GPU for further analysis.
I’m open to more suggestions but need clarity on what’s going wrong. Please keep me updated!
