Listing on G2A platform
Does anyone have experience selling Steam keys on G2A? Is the process easy? Can you get scammed in any way? In the past, I would give my extra keys to friends, but I don't think they're even playing them so I'd rather make some money if possible.
I recently exchanged a key for a game I previously possessed on G2A about three weeks ago. They hold the proceeds for roughly two weeks before transferring them to you. This means if anything goes awry, you might lose everything. The procedure is straightforward: simply paste the key into the designated field and assign the correct title. The trickiest part was getting their automatic title system to function correctly. I entered the full name, but it failed to identify the specific product. I had to type each letter individually before selecting the game’s title from the available options. Yes, the prices are listed in Euros, which is unusual for me since they defaulted to CAD. While I chose CAD initially, the site displays CAD but converts everything to Euros during sale—possibly due to a system glitch. You’ll need to handle some currency conversion yourself, perhaps using a quick search like “2 CAD to EUR” on Google. Also, keep in mind the transaction fees; I sold for 0.80 EUR, but after conversion, I ended up with only 0.39 EUR. I’m unsure if these fees are fixed or increase with price, so plan accordingly when setting your game’s value.
