Firefox wasn't starting, so I looked into Task Manager. I discovered this instead. For Firefox, it seems reinstalling is necessary. Do you know what might be causing this? Are duplicate processes typical? Also, what's happening with the service host? Thanks!

My prediction would vary depending on the programs involved. Or perhaps using sandboxing for safety.
