To clean up your Windows DNS with clients, use aging and scavenging features. A Windows client will automatically re-register itself in the DNS regularly. You can identify which one is active by checking the timestamp on its DNS record. Enabling aging/scavenging lets the DNS automatically retain old records for you without manual effort.

I simply follow what’s asked. The manager isn’t the right person to upset them. They gave me the list exactly as they wanted, and they were pleased. Their handling of it is just IDC.

Share your IP addresses with me. This script performs multiple tasks: it pings the given address, displays the FQDN, checks if the device is operational, and saves all findings into an Excel file named ExcelIp2Host.zip.
