I observed reduced performance and stutter after installing the new 4090. Checked temperatures and found throttling. Disconnected everything, still experienced throttling. Removed the AIO, reapplied paste, verified installation, cleared any air pockets in the pump. Relocated it to a different position for better access. Turned it sideways and noticed some gurgling—believed air was trapped, so I removed the radiator and cleared it. Rechecked temperatures; they were even higher, exceeding 100°C. Stopped operation immediately. Disassembled and cleaned the pump, confirming no stuck air. Moved it to another location for easier handling. Inspected fan settings via BIOS and saw a CPU temperature of 114°C. Both fans spun, but one heat sink remained excessively hot. Placed an air cooler on the CPU (loosely mounted, no pressure) and observed idle temps around 45°C. This suggests the issue isn’t with the CPU itself. Connected the AIO fan and listened closely—some noise was audible. The copper plate stayed above 90°C and cooled very slowly, indicating poor heat dissipation. I tried mounting a random air cooler on the CPU, which idled at about 45°C. This points away from a CPU problem. I checked the QC sticker and purchased it in November 2022. If possible, I opened the cold plate to inspect internal components, though I’m unsure if this would affect warranty coverage. Since it went through an Amazon reseller third-party store, I didn’t want to risk complications. Any further steps or tests you recommend? [link]

Feel the hoses near the AIO—are they hot to the touch? (They should reach about 90°C for the CPU.) If not, it means the water isn’t flowing and the pump might be faulty or blocked.

It becomes more comfortable. The temperature drops slightly when fans run at full speed. I think the incoming water is a bit cooler. Once you start from a cold state, it gradually warms up to around 90 degrees and then exceeds it. It feels like the system can't flow properly or is too weak.

They mentioned a recall involving Liquid Freezer II. If you're impacted, they'll provide replacement kits. The failure list and ethics replacement kits are available for free.

Chose to check the coldplate image. Not satisfactory. Tried flushing it under the sink and running the pump; cleared some debris. It works okay in the short term. Think Artic might have a coolant problem now? Will check their support for details, but others could face similar issues they haven’t reported yet. My unit stayed fine because 1080 didn’t stress the CPU much, while 4090 did.
