Linux won't boot, what can I do?
I discovered a CD featuring an old picture of what appears to be Debian Linux. I want to try booting it on my brother's old computer with a hard drive, but it keeps looping with an error: ISOLINUX 3.63 Debian-2008-07-15 Copyright © 1994-2008 H. Peter Anvin Isolinux: Disk error BB, AX= 4200, drive EF Boot failed: press any key to retry... I’m unsure how to start troubleshooting this, especially since I rarely use Linux. If it could help, my PC has an AMD Phenom II from 2009, no graphics card, and its RAM is original to the motherboard (it’s an HP prebuilt system).
Navigate to the BIOS settings and check the secure boot configuration to ensure it functions correctly.
Thank you for your feedback. It seems there may be an issue. You're right, it appears to be damaged. Appreciate your understanding!
