People often hear Tails OS and certain Linux distributions can help maintain online anonymity. While I usually don’t engage in activities needing secrecy, it’s reassuring to know there are tools available. EDIT: Linux seems more suitable for those who mainly use it for media, browsing, and music without gaming needs.
Over the years, my perspective on operating systems has evolved. Back then, I viewed DOS as clean and user-friendly, Windows as the standard interface, Linux as a developer's tool, and Apple/Mac OS as sophisticated media platforms. Recently, I've noticed Windows has become more feature-rich, while Chrome OS and Android have changed significantly—especially with Android's early promise fading. My observations are based on personal experience rather than concrete facts.
Microsoft aims to trade your spirit for dark powers while Apple seeks to make its users obedient automatons. Linux offers complete domination and utter destruction of freedom. You can build on it, play with it, and exploit it (watching out for Kali enthusiasts).
