Did you format it before installing Linux and use FAT32? If yes, it could be the reason files aren't accessible for regular users. Otherwise, I don’t have other suggestions right now, but I’m open to ideas. Hope this helps!

If you didn't use Rufus first, it could be because of unstable software causing USB issues. Try installing Rufus, format the ISO there, and it should work fine. Hope that helps!
