Linux on a laptop
Linux on a laptop
I have a Dell device from about 18 months ago, and the Windows support without specific drivers is limited. You’ve found several websites offering various drivers for different versions. I’m considering Linux instead, as it would meet my needs for VPN access and Windows Remote Desktop support.
Hey! I guess I said that because it was taken with approval. We had several laptops at the other site a few hours away, and the people there messed up but didn’t want to return them.
I run Antergos Linux on my laptop as my main operating system. It's a rolling release based on Arch, highly adaptable and lightweight. Since it shares the same repository as Arch Linux, it offers nearly all Linux features, either compiled from source or managed via pacman. For the Windows Remote Desktop client, you can find it here: https://github.com/rdesktop/rdesktop
