i have nordVPN for streaming IMSA, though it may not always be the top choice. i’ve had it for a year now, and the main challenge is finding an app to activate it. currently, i use my android device with the app and nbcgold installed. i’m hoping to expand this to other devices. i own a proxmox server that hosts truenas and plex server, which still has plenty of capacity. could i set up a router similar to pihole, using nordVPN as the gateway? if i connect through that gateway with my dns settings, would i automatically be on the vpn when using that device? my question might be worded incorrectly, but if you have any instructions for doing this on a linux distribution, it would be great.

You can add a virtual router to your Proxmox setup using Untangle, configure a VPN on that router, and direct some or all traffic through it. While Untangle isn't the most elegant option, similar solutions such as OPNsense are effective too.
