I'm facing issues installing Linux Mint to run GStreamer for RAM testing. The process stalled at a blank screen, requiring nomodeset to proceed. It seems the setup isn't straightforward. Perhaps a lighter distribution would work better? I followed the official guide but encountered challenges with my hardware—1800x CPU, 6GB RAM, and a 1080Ti GPU. Fast boot was disabled, and after removing the splash screen, the system got stuck during an automated update.

I installed Ubuntu from a bootable USB drive. The distribution is built on top of Mint.
