I set up a dual boot with Windows 10 on a 250 GB HDD and installed Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.1 on a 120 SSD. After restarting Linux Mint, the Ubuntu loading screen appeared, and I accessed the login screen. When I entered my password, it kept showing the same screen. It seems both systems were functioning correctly. It might not be the SSD that’s corrupted, but rather something else affecting the boot process or login setup.

No, you cannot log in with the terminal using Ctrl+Alt+F2. That keyboard shortcut is typically for a specific application or tool, not the default login method.

I checked for tools that can detect file corruption on SSDs. There are several options available.
