well thats not linux, its bash THere is no full kernel running(let) so you can't run a full gui on it. You need a vm for a full gui.

Getting a complete feel when using it alongside Windows feels similar to playing a Nintendo emulator on your PC, missing the true console experience.

They're influencing GNU Linux in various ways. Microsoft is taking the kernel for their own Linux parts, and Google is using it for Chrome OS and Android. It seems that if they add code to open source projects, they stay within the license rules, but Linux development faces a risk of being controlled by corporate interests later.
