I'm quite new to Skype on Linux and finding it tricky. It seems a bit untrustworthy. Anyone think it could be updated for Windows Skype?

It seems like Microsoft isn’t really investing much effort here. They realize only a tiny fraction of users will adopt it, so why bother with extensive work? The Skype for Linux version is just a simpler, less intuitive alternative based on the Windows version. As long as you can run the program, it should work! Hope this clarifies things!

It seems the windows edition appears to be recent, while Linux Skype feels outdated. Have you ever used Wine to run Skype?
