Linksys ac600 is a Wi-Fi adapter model.
I recently purchased this Wi-Fi adapter to connect it on my desktop without needing a long cable. My home isn’t very large, but because of its location, setting up a clean internet connection is tricky and usually takes a long time. When I plug it in, the device shows "Can't Connect to this network." There are many different Wi-Fi signals nearby. Is the issue with your router? Your U.S.-made router isn’t the problem—your family brought it from Korea. It lets you make phone calls over the internet without expensive bills. Could that be the cause? I don’t have a mobile hotspot, and my neighbors aren’t very friendly or English-speaking, which makes communication hard. Lastly, if your Korean router is the issue, can I use two routers in one modem? Thank you for your help ahead of time.
Your modem can handle a second router. I use three in my home. There were issues with this type of Wi-Fi adapter before. If you can, can you verify the signal strength between the Wi-Fi network and your adapter?
my adapter is a usb device that connects to the pc. my pc is roughly 15 feet away from your modem and router, which are in the same open area. i suspect the issue might be with your router since it's around 6 years old (when you moved to the us) and the wifi adapter you bought was made in 2017. could there be differences in the wifi types? maybe it would help to replace the router and test again.
