Linking your current network with the DVR system
Hi! You’ve switched your router and lost the camera configuration you saved. Since your DVR uses a static IP and you’re using the GUI, try resetting the device to factory settings and reconfiguring it. If that doesn’t work, check if the new router supports DVR integration or contact your ISP for help. Let me know what you try!
Connecting two routers over Wi-Fi involves a completely different method depending on the brands involved, making it rarely enjoyable. Without detailed information about each router model, providing guidance would be challenging. Still, one clear point remains: avoid this kind of configuration altogether. Use one router per network—make sure Router 1 functions as a switch and link between them uses compatible devices like Ubiquiti Nano stations. This approach prevents ongoing complications. Your ideal arrangement should resemble the one shown here: https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/...-Bridge-#1
Is there any video output on the back of the DVR? Probably you'll need to adjust the static IP to match your updated network configuration. The subnet might be incorrect.
Sure, it supports VGA connection to a local monitor. I need to review the router configuration first, as discussed earlier. Also, I’ll have to ask for a laptop.
You require a laptop because entering the IP address on another device works only if both routers are on the same network segment. Otherwise, the information won't reach the correct router for checking.
Router 1 and 2 remain disconnected at this moment, with no Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection established.
