Linking a Kamvas 13 to a PC lacking Thunderbolt connections
Hi everyone, my girlfriend got a Kamvas 13 drawing tablet and I’ve been attempting to connect it to her desktop but haven’t succeeded yet. First I tried an HDMI adapter (but it didn’t work), then added USB-C ports by installing a PCIe card, though that also failed because the product description didn’t mention DP or video support. I checked a laptop with a Thunderbolt port and it worked, so the tablet should function fine as long as her PC supports it. The Kamvas only has Thunderbolt (or possibly USB 3.2) ports, but the site doesn’t specify clearly and many people say “Thunderbolt” instead of the exact type. I’m looking for the easiest way to link a Thunderbolt port to a PC—maybe using the 3-in-1 adapter from the manufacturer or using the included cable with a compatible port. Let me know if anyone has more details or suggestions! Thanks for your help!
Some PCIe cards from Dell include a Displayport input that blends with a USB 3.2 signal, enabling this setup on desktops. This approach might function in your case, though I can't confirm for sure. Here’s an example of such a card. Low-profile brackets tend to be more readily available than standard-height ones. EDIT: L1Tech (Wendel's channel) also offers an external combiner box, but it likely comes at a higher price compared to other alternatives.
