Hey, back then it was really straightforward. You had optical cable connecting the receiver to your PC, set up the receiver for 5.1 channels and it was good to go. But with Windows 11 this setting isn’t available—it only shows 2 channels over optical. We switched to HDMI instead. The drawback is that HDMI acts like a second monitor, so audio only works when that secondary screen is active. If you try “show only on one,” it fails. You need to enable extend or duplicate. The problem with duplicating is my main monitor can’t go beyond 60Hz. Extending helps but now I get phantom monitors sometimes causing issues. What alternatives do you have?

I link MY AVR to TRV via HDMI-ARC and HDMI for TV to PC, allowing me to adjust volume and modify settings through the TV remote.
