I stopped using PC right before Christmas and now when I return, playing any game caps my FPS at 83. I have a 3800x, 32GB RAM, and a 3070Ti. I’ve used all the tools in Rivatuner and Nvidia Control Panel, tried reinstalling drivers, and even uninstalled them. Before stopping, I played FiveM and used Rivatunner to cap FPS but turned it off. I don’t know what to try next. I’ve also run games expecting 100 FPS yet still get capped at 83—whether windowed or full screen.

Are you certain the Rivatuner setting matches zero? If not, ensure VSync is disabled. Should VSync remain active despite previous issues with low FPS, look at the Windows refresh rate limit (navigate to Settings - System Display - Scroll down for advanced display details).

I've looked into the ribs tuner and adjusted it between 300 and 0, but it doesn't work. I also changed the monitor's display settings to alter the Hz, yet the issue persists. I'm not keen on reinstalling Windows if I think I can fix it myself.
