Limit of Storage
Limit of Storage
I didn’t fully grasp how many PCI lanes affect real-world performance, which is why my answer might seem unclear. Here’s what I’m thinking: I own an Asus ROG Z-370E with an RTX 2080Ti and an Avermedia Livegamer 4K using two PCIe slots. I also have a m.2 SSD, a SATA SSD, and a SATA HDD. I’m running low on storage and thought about adding two more SATA SSDs. My concern is whether having so many devices connected at once will cause issues. I’m not sure if the number of PCI lanes matters much, but I want to be sure before making any changes.
Why not upgrade to another M.2 drive? The price and speed are comparable, so it makes sense. I’d also install a larger SSD instead of two. Adding more drives shouldn’t cause any problems.
Electronics Wizardy! The price gap here in Brazil is quite steep. A 1TB SSD costs around R$990, while a similar m.2 model would be about R$1920.
Which specific drives are you interested in? Are you looking for options such as 665p, P1, or similar?
I typically purchase PC components from www.mercadolivre.com.br or www.kabum.com.br. The second option is a M.2 Samsungs model, though. Could you share other brands you're considering? I'd be happy to suggest alternatives that match the speed and reliability you expect.
Consider something similar to this: a solid disc drive with good quality and strong performance at a reasonable price.
