Hi, I'm facing an issue with my Aorus B450 Elite motherboard. It needs secure boot enabled for Faceit, which it currently has. I changed it from disabled to active and then tried saving the changes. Now the PC won't even start. The fans and GPU are working fine. Lights on the board loop: CPU → DRAM (stays on for a few seconds) then VGA. I reset the CMOS and switched RAM, but it still doesn’t boot. I think the board might be damaged, though there could be another fix. P.S., I’m planning to use a CH341A programmer before replacing the motherboard. Specs: Ryzen 5 5600, RX 3080, EVGA FTR3, 2x8GB 3000MHz DDR4 CL16.

Hi, your computer shouldn't be damaged, but you'll have to turn Secure Boot back on before you can restore Windows. Disconnect the power source, hold the power button for 10 seconds, then leave the PC idle without power for a minute. After that, plug the cable back in, power it up, and wait about seven minutes for the BIOS to load. Once it shows, go back into the BIOS, re-enable Secure Boot, save changes, exit, and you should be all set.

Thanks for the update. I attempted it, but it keeps looping and the BIOS isn't appearing even after seven minutes.

No, there are no beeps or numbers directly on the motherboard itself.

If your board supports a BIOS flash without using the CPU, that’s one solution. I experienced a hard brick on my old z390 after turning on secure boot, and it didn’t allow a BIOS flash without CPU. Even clearing the main BIOS manually by shorting certain pins didn’t work, so I had to replace the board. That was challenging. May your attempt be successful. You might try removing the CPU and RAM, powering the board, and performing a CMOS reset before reinstalling parts. Good luck!

I attempted what you suggested, but it didn't function properly. It seems to be permanently broken now.

Oh no, two individuals blocked their mobos. That’s a serious issue. I’m sorry to hear about it.
