It's the same with games. You purchase one on Steam for five dollars, play it for two days, then find it loses interest and buy another one costing five or more. That way, you can end up spending over a thousand dollars on software or games. I usually go for a free crack instead.
To help the business expand, more sales are essential. Without purchases, profits vanish and projects halt. In my view, piracy mirrors theft—why pay for something when you could just take it? I’ve bought over 500 items and funded games on Steam. I support creators by spending money so they can keep making the games I enjoy. https://steamdb.info/calculator/?player=...urrency=uk
For the same price you pay for Coke, beer, or anything that isn’t bread or water since you can survive on just that... Do you know some developers... like... no... probably around 98% of them need income to make ends meet? When you buy Windows, you’re not paying 120$ to Bill Gates, you’re paying 120$ to 1000 creators... It’s disappointing. I’m sharing this from Spain, one of the main players in piracy... It’s sad. If you don’t have money, then well... If you really need it, fine... but if you just pirate because... yeah... those developers don’t deserve it... well. Hope you do well in life...
I’m the type who loves a good challenge and can’t resist getting into trouble.
Based on your picture, you seem to be an adult with a job, whereas I’m a kid who can’t afford to spend money on games and doesn’t have a credit card. When I get my own job, I’ll buy software mainly for AAA titles like GTA 5. For things like Five nights at freedies, I’d probably download cracks. For smaller games, it’s not worth spending $5 because you’re likely to get bored in about three hours. Spending that much would be a waste.
If I bought a soda from a store, I'd face serious consequences, but online it's easy to get away with it since many people have already done it.
I’m an adult with a working job. If I were younger, I’d handle chores or ask my parents to help. I own many Atari, Nintendo, and PS1 games from my childhood. Small games require money just as much as big ones—sometimes more. Indie titles often sell in lower numbers but can be the creators’ way of supporting themselves. I get what you mean, but I still believe it’s not right to keep talking about this. There’s only so much free software available. I’d suggest getting a copy of Vegas; it worked well for me a long time. You can also download CS2 Adobe Premiere for free from the Adobe site—it’s an older version but might work.
Thank you for your patience. It seems you enjoyed many games as a child, likely due to good luck and support from your parents. English isn’t my first language, so I’m not sure what you meant by “chores.” I appreciate the suggestions about Sony Vegas and CS2, and I’ll take a look at them.
