I am assembling a PC with these specifications: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DBHQyK. Mobo: Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4 CPU: Intel i7-12700K RAM: Silicon Power Gaming 2x16GB DDR4 3200 Power Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 PE 850W. Here’s a summary of my steps in order:

Initial Build (All components installed):
- Verified all cables were connected properly
- Removed CMOS battery and reinstalled it
- Checked CPU placement and cooler fit, applied thermal paste again

Second Build (Minimal setup):
- Plugged in CPU, SSD, cooler, RAM, and power supply
- Tested with one RAM stick, then the other, then no RAM at all
- Still encountered a red CPU light

Final Attempt (Replaced motherboard and CPU):
- Updated BIOS twice
- Reinstalled CMOS battery
- Despite careful work, the system never entered POST

I’ve confirmed everything is set up correctly and verified all power connections. The chances of having a bad CPU or motherboard in a row are extremely low.

Check the power source directly to see if it's supplying voltage correctly. Listen for unusual noises from the PSU fan during startup, which may indicate issues. Use a multimeter to verify voltage at the motherboard connections. If problems persist, isolate components one by one to identify the faulty part.
