Light stays on during VGA startup on X570 gaming plus
A short while ago I received a driver update for my 6700xt that came with my system when it shut down. Since then, I've noticed persistent VGA lights. I've done everything possible—swapped RAM, re-seated every core part. Right now I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600 with 32 GB of xpg d60 and a reference Rx 6700xt on an x570 gaming plus MSI board. The GPU and CPU seem fine. I've used a friend's 2060 to install the 6700 drivers, which worked for two days but still kept the VGA light on for a long time before booting. I recently tried the 5900x and it’s also causing the same issue. I’ve reinstalled my 3600 to check if it will boot up, assuming the new CPU might be the problem, though the BIOS supports 5000 series CPUs. I’m still trying to figure out what’s wrong.
Your X570 board can run with 5xxx series CPUs and also works with 3xxx series CPUs under the same BIOS. This is because 3xxx models don’t face EEPROM size issues. Do you have any aftermarket coolers available?
