The PC starts up properly, all programs and games run smoothly. Just before the system powers off, a small light flickers on the GPU accompanied by a clicking noise. The GPU model is 4070ti. 102984578_2023PCBuild.MP4

Verify the GPU's power cable connection. The new connectors from Nvidia’s 40-series can be tricky to insert. They may appear fully engaged without being properly secured. Independent and Nvidia tests suggest that cables that looked connected but weren’t fully locked were actually causing damage to the new 40 series. Inspect the cable, a significant spark could indicate poor soldering, requiring an RMA.

That's an issue. Make sure the cable is securely connected—small misalignments can cause problems. If it still doesn<|pad|>, replace this card immediately; it's a serious risk.

this light signals a problem with power detection and is present on all 40 series GPUs. it appears as white or red and activates when there’s an issue with the plug’s sensing pins. a Reddit discussion about this exists, but I’m unclear on the exact cause—possibly residual power from capacitors used for audio filtering. i don’t have the clicking sound recorded, so i can’t identify it further.

It might be this way. It feels strange how it shifts.
