I suggested swapping the Ryzen 5 5600 for a Ryzen 7 5800X3D and pairing it with an Asus B550 Prime M.2 drop-in, aiming for better performance without breaking the bank. We assembled the system and noticed the DRAM indicator lit up. I tried various RAM modules in different slots, cleared CMOS, and wiped the drive. Still no success—only one stick worked, and the CPU light stayed off. If I had just one stick, the issue disappeared. Now the DRAM light remains active regardless of configuration.

Current setup:
- Ryzen 5 5600
- Asus B550 Prime M.2
- 16GB Patriot RAM at 1666MHz
- 16GB DDR4 3600MHz (OlMo)
- ASUS 3060 Prime Thermaltake PSU

What I attempted:
- Swapped RAM sticks individually
- Tested different slots and CMOS settings
- Cleared CMOS and updated BIOS manually
- Removed GPU to check power supply problems
- Used a brand new board with a fresh CPU

The board seems to support only the 5600 model in newer BIOS versions; without an updated BIOS, posting won’t work. You might consider bringing it to a PC repair shop with a compatible CPU to have the BIOS updated for you.

Just realized there might be a spare 2700x left in my room. I’ll give it a try. Thanks!
