It's always secure to turn off the system, updating your BIOS via USB should be straightforward. Just adhere to the guidelines, you can maintain your motherboard components while updating the BIOS. What initially stopped me was a faulty USB device and not setting up FAT32 for flashing. Using a reliable USB made the process simple.

It seems the issue might be with the USB port or the SanDisk card, not the device itself. I’ll look into getting a higher-quality option. Thanks!

I faced the same issue again, consider using another USB Sandisks might be problematic.

I attempted to update the BIOS using two distinct USB drives, but it didn’t work at all. I’m at a standstill, only having the option to send back the CPU and wait for a replacement.

Final attempt – try to obtain a CPU from any BIOS version the board accepts, or ask a nearby shop to work it out. BIOS updates can cause issues, which is why it’s tricky. Generally it functions properly, but it remains an unreliable method. Either the hardware or the processor might be faulty at this stage. Having two USBs and a failed update could suggest the problem lies with the board.
