I upgraded my CPU from an i5-8400 to an i7-9700k. Right away I saw a yellow DRAM light and attempted to revert to my previous model, but the issue continued. I disconnected everything and disassembled the system. After reassembly it still works. I've been working on this for six hours and am really tired. My motherboard is an ASUS Strix Z370-E gaming board, the SSD is a 1 GB Samsung drive, the power supply is an EVGA 650W unit, the cooler is Cooler Master, the RAM is 1x8 Ballistix and a 1x32 TeamGroup. I tried swapping the RAM in every slot without success. Please help me, I'm exhausted.

Did you reset the CMOS first, then test each connector separately?
