Hello everyone, I have a common query that you likely already understand: How can I distribute my video games across multiple drives via Steam?
I’ve researched this online and found solutions that didn’t apply to my situation. Whenever I attempt to establish a folder on my secondary 1TB SSD drive and install a game through Steam, the process fails. I possess two SSDs – a 256GB one for essential operating system files and primary games, alongside a 1TB unit intended for additional titles. However, this larger drive remains unused as I’m unsure how to proceed with installations.

I wasn't downloading files; it appears to be an unintended function.
I installed a new SSD, and my Steam was located on my C drive with Windows – which subsequently filled up, prompting me for additional storage.
It enabled access to the D:\ steamlibrary folder, though not a specifically designated one.
I desired the location D:\Games\Steam\ to maintain organization and prevent conflicts arising from multiple launchers having their own folders.
I achieved this by completely reinstalling everything.
Unlike other programs that permit me to select my preferred installation directory, this is unacceptable according to my requirements; going forward, I will consistently install Steam onto a secondary SSD rather than my primary drive.
Steam completely allows you to choose alternative storage locations for installations. You can also pick another drive and set it as the primary one.
