I examined my LGA1700 socket and questioned whether the pins might be bent. Initially, I suspected they could be, but upon closer inspection, they appeared consistent. I’m hoping someone with expertise can verify that the pins are intact and confirm I don’t need any repairs.
According to @RONOTHAN##, these aren't traditional pins but rather tiny tabs that rest on the underside of the CPU pads. Their bent design lets them function like a spring, offering more pressure variation which helps maintain consistent contact between the pin and the CPU pads.
