Hey there, friend. Your HP 580-023w uses the stock motherboard with an LGA1151 socket. If you're thinking about swapping it out for a cooler like the MasterAir G200P, you'd likely need to remove the existing motherboard and replace the back plate. It's not something you can just drop in without taking it apart. Make sure you have the right tools and know what you're doing before you start.

This model typically has a gap in the back of the motherboard tray, eliminating the need to take out the board. The back panel can be removed by simply taking off the side panels from the case. Is this feature available for your specific case?

According to what I understand, after several attempts, only the one side panel detaches; the other side remains a solid metal piece. I strongly question this.

If you leave the current cooler on and the backplate stays in place, it should stay fixed. If this happens, chances are a compatible cooler is available. But if your cooler requires its own backplate, you’ll likely need to remove the motherboard, which may involve taking it off.
