Hello. I tried to replace my Pentium E6600 with the Xeon X5450. I've updated the BIOS, BIOS firmware, and adapter already. The Xeon was detected in the BIOS but stopped working when I tried to open Windows Logo. I have a Lenovo G41 motherboard, 4GB RAM, and an 170W power supply. I'm using Windows 10 Home, but the latest BIOS update I found is for Windows 8.1. Could it be the power supply or something else? Thanks.

You upgraded from a 65W processor to a 120W one, and even your motherboard could be struggling with it. With the added 170W power supply, everything seems feasible in your situation.

Consider using a higher-quality power source to check for proper startup.
