Hey there, I purchased this Chinese mini ITX X99 board for a project I'm developing. It advertises an LGA 2011-3 socket (refer to the attached picture). Yet, all the searches I did indicate that the pin array cutouts are reserved for Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge EP CPUs, which use the LGA 2011 socket—not LGA 2011-3. I bought an i7 3930K CPU just to test if a LGA 2011 socketed CPU would fit (it's a Sandy Bridge), but it didn’t match the expected pin layout. The keys don’t align with what a true LGA 2011-3 socket should have. As per the attached images, I want to clarify exactly what I have and how to proceed.

Promotes itself as "X99" and focuses on LGA 2011-3 processors. Appearance doesn't matter; the actual chipset is unlikely to be visible on the board. Similar to seeing "X79" boards with Z77.

Which DIMM slots are available on the motherboard? If they support DDR4, only specific CPUs—like LGA-2011v3 or Haswell-EX/Broadwell-EX—can fit, all using the newer socket designs. Yes, the physical socket is LGA2011, but it's mainly for boards that allow multiple slots.

I only have an LGA 2011-3 chip, which is a Xeon model that might need a C612 cardset. It could take some time to figure out what to do. The DIMMs use DDR4 connectors. You’re confident those pins won’t cause any issues with the CPU? Even on single-socket LGA 2011-3 boards, the pins don’t have the cutouts.
