Have you encountered the same issue? I've tried all possible rollbacks and updates, yet nothing worked. LG is reviewing it, but that’s hardly helpful.

Free upgrade offered. Laughs. Is it really making a difference? Does it attempt to show 21:9 settings? Welcome to the discussion.

Sadly the LG Ultrawide runs at 1080p while the GL850 supports 1440p. My display is set as an LG Ultrawide in both the Nvidia interface and LG OSC. In Windows Device Manager it appears as a generic NPIP, which makes me suspect Windows isn't detecting it properly. I removed the generic NPIP setting, tried finding compatible hardware, reinstalled the GPU driver, rolled back Windows, updated it, unplugged and then replugged the monitor from both power sources and waited five minutes before reconnecting. Still nothing happened. I contacted LG, but they seemed unhelpful. This issue just appeared out of nowhere. I was adjusting settings on my screen when it suddenly stopped working.

Resolved the issue. It might assist others who use an LG GL850 if they try this approach. Through further investigation, I discovered that installing the LG OSC app from the official site and connecting a USB 3.0 port while keeping the Display Port active triggers a firmware update. Although there’s no log confirming the update, it addresses the problem with the GL850 on an LG Ultrawide display.
