I might consider purchasing them since the playtime isn’t too short. I’ve played games that last 60–80 hours (Trails of Cold Steel). Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

Prey shares the same creator as Dishonored, offering a futuristic sci-fi experience reminiscent of System Shock, inspired by Bioshock, Prey, and several other titles. An upcoming remake revives the classic 90s first-person sci-fi shooter/hacker genre that shaped Bioshock, Prey, and many others. Greedfall follows this style with a party-driven RPG reminiscent of older Bioware experiences, featuring awkward combat and modest budget but a compelling narrative and world. Control adds an action-adventure twist with telekinetic abilities, while Thief remains a beloved title for fans who enjoy stealth in Victorian-inspired settings. Deus Ex Human Revolution and Deus Ex Mankind Divided explore near-future transhumanist themes in first-person stealth/shooter formats. If you're willing to invest some time setting up, you might also revisit the original Thief and Deus Ex games, though they have dated visuals and some technical quirks. Overall, these titles balance story depth with unique gameplay concepts, even if their graphics and mechanics feel a bit outdated.

Your take on Control's tale hinges on your taste for eerie supernatural content and your preference for stories with straightforward answers and conclusions.

I enjoy Deus Ex, Dishonored, Prey and a lot of other immersive simulations. It's not just about the stories but also how the games feel. If you need to cry, try To The Moon. Or any titles from Freebird Games—though there aren’t many in terms of gameplay, they’re well-crafted narratives. The first season of Walking Dead had a solid story, but don’t replay it if you want meaningful choices. The Wolf Among Us offers a similar experience with mostly the same mechanics. I haven’t followed Telltale much since then because their games felt repetitive, though they kept me hooked for two titles. If you’re looking for classics, Grim Fandango is worth a try—just brace yourself for some really strange puzzles. Old-school fans might appreciate Planescape: Torment, often praised as one of the best books you can play. Its story is engaging, but the gameplay leans heavily on its era, which can be slow at times. The Talos Principle boasts a captivating plot, but you need to engage deeply and interpret the details. The Stanley Parable shines when the narrative drives the experience itself.
