Hey there, I'm feeling pretty frustrated tonight. The ASMedia USB controller on my current motherboard almost messed up a backup I was trying to save because of a semaphore lockout. It happened on both Windows and Linux, so I’m blaming the controller itself. I tested it on a Dell prebuilt with an Intel USB chip and everything worked fine. So yeah, I’m really upset about my board now. It’s a Crosshair VI at best! High quality until you actually start using it, right? Anyway, I’m looking for a new board with an Intel-made USB controller to avoid this again. And honestly, I’m open to switching from Ryzen—what’s the point of a 16-core chip if everything keeps failing? Intel chipsets seem like a good bet. Got any ideas?
