Nothing unusual here: avoid purchasing the latest item until it has time to fix issues. I think many problems will be fixed through BIOS/Windows updates and drivers. Perhaps a small hardware tweak is enough. Let others test it first.

Don't anticipate significant speed gains from a minor upgrade in the same category. If your device is a 7000 series and you require more power, switching to a higher tier like 9000 may be necessary for noticeable improvements, depending on what you're using it for—such as moving from 6 to 8 cores or similar.
