Hello, welcome! Today I was in the shower thinking about Star Citizen. I pictured myself as a pirate soaring through space, and then a massive cargo ship appeared. I decided to attack it with my org. My buddies were firing, and I boarded the ship. When I entered, I shouted "HANDS UP." That made me realize it could be a good idea if there was a hands-up mechanic. It would let pirates switch to weapons quickly—maybe just 2-3 seconds. This could be handy for pirates and those being looted, since pirates wouldn’t need to kill them just to make sure they don’t shoot their heads off while raiding. What do you think about this mechanic? Share your thoughts below. Thank you.

Are you alone in having no shower thoughts? And what if the men on the cargo ship are armed?

This game featured a strict permadeath system, meaning weapons weren't always helpful. Sometimes it was wiser to abandon the cargo—particularly if it was insured—and focus on saving your ship and life.

It's unclear if you're requesting this or if it's feasible. Yes, it's possible, though I'm not a subscriber and won't proceed.

From similar experiences in other games like EVE online, it seems the pirates will probably target you later, regardless of your actions. Being a bad player fits the typical pirate role. However, the lack of consequences often reveals honest individuals who might not have expected such behavior.

This sounds like a solid concept. I was thinking about taking on a criminal role too, and I hadn't considered including surrendering to my boarding plan.
