let's discuss it.
let's discuss it.
This new CPU, the 9900ks, raises questions about who would benefit from it—what kind of gaming setup would make use of its power? Is it valuable enough? What motherboard would fit well so you can push it to its limits? How does it compare to the R9 3900X? The game's analysis helped, but I'd love more perspectives.
Those who skip thorough research on purchases are easily deceived, while those lacking skills in overclocking a 9900k often end up spending a lot just to show off.
Those who are too lazy and have a lot of money seem clear to me.
I'm talking about worth and value like a sports car, which most people find silly and impractical. Gamers Nexus will argue it's pointless and then make videos about overclocking it, similar to what they did with the i7 8086k. My favorite i9 9900ks video is from Tech Deals. The main difference is heat. My i7 8086k can run at 5.1ghz at the same temperatures as my i7 8700k did at 4.7. If the i9 9900k could match that, it would make sense to me. I already have an overclocked i9 9900k at home, and in games it doesn't outperform my i7 8086k, so upgrading isn't necessary for me. If I built another computer, I'd consider it.
the purpose of giving spending guidance is questionable, particularly when individuals haven't requested such advice. Purchasing Intel CPUs wasn't solely about cost versus performance. Some reviewers noted that the 9900KS offers better value compared to the 9900K/KF. I believe it's not prudent to invest in a costly CPU right before major announcements, but for those who require extra speed and have the budget—why not? This is just speculation, though it seems logical that as top-tier chips move into the 9900KS range, the quality of the 9900K/KF models might decline slightly. It's not significantly more pricey than a 9900K. Still, it will be cheaper than a R9 3950X. Updated November 3, 2019 by 1van
Based on my experience with the i7 8086k, I’m leaning toward these special edition CPUs in the future. The i9 9900k was the simplest CPU I ever managed to overclock. I achieved 5ghz across all cores at just 1.27v on the first attempt, and a Noctua nh d15 with one fan kept it as cool as stock. It’ll be exciting to discover what these “special” chips can accomplish.
The 9900ks offers no unique features. The same outcomes are achievable by manually increasing the clock speed of a 9900k. Still, purchasing the special version is quicker and more convenient.
