Let's Build a Server!
Just to set up and examine SharePoint Server (2019 edition) along with other server applications such as Exchange and various server tools... What specifications would you suggest? Please share your ideas.

A setup with sufficient CPU and memory to run VMs for the WinServer, plus two Windows 10 client machines.
A compact network, all inside one physical computer.
It seems feasible with around 64GB of RAM.
VM is fine. However, this time I'm interested in using a dedicated server. Just trying out for a longer period to learn more about a server machine. Appreciate your response.
Do the machines come with operating systems included? Is it similar to how Windows is provided with laptops?
WindowsServer does NOT come with a system.
You can get a 180 day eval version (this was mentioned before) to install on your hardware, or in a VM.
At this level, there is nothing magical about 'a server'. All the magic happens in software.
The system is just another beefy PC.
I recommended VMs, because you can easily/instantly recover from a bad mistake.
However, purchasing a Dell or HP server would require using WindowsServer 2019. This option would be quite costly.
My budget stands at 1,00,000 INR. Is it achievable?
Alternatively, constructing it ourselves isn't viable?
If you're determined to work with a server, the HP ML 110 fits within your budget of around one lakh, though you'd still need to set it up using different parts to complete the project.

You might also explore the used server market in India for older models at lower prices. Consider checking with local suppliers of second-hand corporate equipment for a potentially cheaper option.
