We used to play a lot of Age of Empires II when we were kids. Recently I’ve felt a strong sense of nostalgia and checked Steam. The first thing I noticed is that Age of Empires III requires less power than II since it’s not a high-definition re-release. That’s good. From what I understand, my system has enough RAM and the processor should be sufficient. However, the graphics card requirements on the site are unclear. As someone who mainly plays on consoles, I’m unsure if a device without strong graphics capabilities can meet my desire for old-school gaming. Could anyone assist me? If you’re open to it, feel free to share any details about my Laptop so we can figure this out together.
I've experienced Minecraft at about 20 frames per second, along with some older Command & Conquer titles. It's not high-end, but it should run fine for that game.
I’ll let you know that Age of Empires 3 falls short compared to Age of Empires 2. If you ever want to hang out in the Steam community, I’m happy to join—there are plenty of friends around from AOKh who play too. Regarding how it feels to play, it’s an older title. I recall using it on a very old Compaq that was six years old; you should be fine.
