It seems like upgrading your CPU could be a smart move. I noticed some i7 options around $200 recently, which looks like a solid value for the 9700 or 8700 chipsets. However, prices can vary by region. Are you building a gaming PC from scratch or using an existing system?
This setup is typical for a 6-core processor without hyperthreading. Upgrading to an i7 would help. Performance drops are normal across most PCs. It's a bit sluggish, but shouldn't cause major issues
Only a single reviewer mentions FPS drops. You need better airflow. The standard cooler or any cooler will struggle if it pulls in hot air. Your RAM speed matches your CPU's needs.
I could possibly order a fresh board for AM4 and receive either a 3700x or 3800x Bc. I’ve been wanting to upgrade but they’ve never been available. So I guess I’ll likely end up with a decent cooler Master model instead. Thanks for your assistance!
