Less powerful computer achieves higher FPS than you in Battlefield 1
I recently shared a comment about my low FPS in BF1, thinking it was due to a weak CPU. My friend, who has a GTX 960, an i5 4460, and 8GB RAM, achieves around 85 FPS with high details, while I have a GTX 1060, an i5 4690K, and 16GB RAM, only managing about 30 FPS in ultra settings. No game seems to help—even at high settings or 25% render scale, my performance remains poor. How can someone else be getting more frames than me?
Do you have the latest drivers installed? If not, I’m puzzled as to why your FPS is lower than yours under the same settings. You should aim for at least a 10-20% improvement over your friend’s performance.
Have you explored previous versions? Consider a clean Windows setup.
No, I didn't expect that. After reinstalling the windows, the issue should be resolved since I'm seeing 60fps with hairworks ultra in Witcher 3.
When I first set up the game, everything worked smoothly, but after a few weeks I encountered issues, which might indicate a driver problem.
The most recent two driver updates I tested were really disappointing for my 980ti. Early game speeds often reach 500-600 fps, then drop to about 300-400. New drivers usually hit around 400 in the first half second, but then fall to as low as 150 fps. Switching back to the old driver brought everything back to normal.
