My Lenovo flex 3's USB ports stopped working at once even though they were still receiving power. I checked online and found someone else had the same issue, suggesting changing the grub line in /etc/default/grub to iommu=soft. I tried that but nothing worked. My ports didn't improve. I decided to perform a clean reboot after updating grub. Everything seemed fine until grub lost its advanced UEFI feature. I booted into BIOS and saw secure boot was turned off. I wanted to test enabling and disabling the PK Kek DB, so I restarted. Now I'm unsure what to do next. I've reset the CMOS, tried booting from USB in various operating systems, but I have no idea how to proceed. Do you know what to do? I only have a phone, an SD card, and an adapter to make it work.

Did you remove the maker’s OS? When did USB cease functioning? After switching to Linux? Are you certain it only ignores USB hard drives instead? When you restart your machine, use the keys to open the command line interface (tty1 through tty6) and repair grub. What does the tty command do? It displays the terminal name you’re using. TTY means “teletypewriter.” Ctrl+Alt+F2 for tty2 Good luck! Chapter 5. Device Quirks https://www.kernel.org/doc/htmldocs/writ...uirks.html A connection issue with USB3 external storage on Linux (UAS driver problem) https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions...er-problem Edited April 24, 2022 by FUIT1985 For fixes, I'm human & Italian

You might reset the BIOS if it isn’t reachable, using a BIOS update and the README from Lenovo’s guide. It could be in Hack Your Computer’s BIOS documentation. A search can help you locate it.
